DANIEL A. BUTLER, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Diplomate, American Board of Surgery
.... Dr. Butler graduated with honors from Asbury College with his Bachelor's Degree in Biology-Chemistry. He then received his M.D. from the University of Indiana School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
.... Dr. Butler is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He also holds certification in Advanced Trauma & Life Support and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is currently the Trauma Director of the Atrium Medical Center. He joined the practice of Roosevelt Surgical Associates in 1994.
.... Dr. Butler also serves our country as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was recently deployed on February 6, 2010 to Tikrit, Iraq. Dr. Butler will conduct emergency surgeries on U.S. and Iraqi soldiers as well as insurgents. While he will have the luxury of working as a noncombatant in a hospital filled with medical equipment, there is nothing luxurious abut the mortar wounds and pain that the soldiers will be coming to him for. This is his second tour of duty in Iraq – the first was in 2005. He will be returning to his practice with Roosevelt Surgical Associates on or around May 21, 2010. Dr. Butler has five children and he lives in Middletown, Ohio.
